Our beginning

Taken right after he asked her to be his girlfriend. Our first official picture, from a soft commitment to get to know each other better.

A proposal

He took her on a surprise trip for the weekend during a brief break from the perils of grad school, to tell her he'd like to spend the rest of his life with her and to ask her to come on this journey together.

Our commitment

Exactly seven years after that first soft commitment, we made a legal commitment to continue loving and choosing each other through whatever life throws our way.
